Unprecedented event over the Black Sea could transform naval warfare

Ukraine's army chalked up an unprecedented achievement in May when its unmanned surface vessels shot down two advanced Russian warplanes. The downing of these aircraft was no chance success and was not the only such instance, but it constituted a telling example of a transformational shift in warfare that is taking place these days. Israeli experts, however, are concerned that Israel's navy is tarrying in drawing lessons from such recent incidents in the Black Sea and in the Red Sea.
