The King has said he was 'deeply shocked and saddened' by the crash during Liverpool's Premier League title parade.

The shocking incident unfolded just after 6pm on Water Street in the heart of Liverpool's city centre, as thousands of fans packed the streets.

A car hit a "number of pedestrians" during the soccer side's Premier League title celebrations in the city, police said.
