An American mother-of-three accused of murdering two of her children fled the US to the UK and was found 5,000 miles from home by Britain's FBI hiding in a Kensington hotel, it was revealed today.

Kimberlee Singler, 35, appeared in the dock at Westminster Magistrates' Court this morning where she revealed her intention to fight extradition back to Colorado to face trial.

Singler jetted to the UK ‘knowing exactly what was going to happen’ according to the British judge at her first court hearing, who remanded her in custody because she is considered a flight risk.

She is wanted by police in Colorado Springs for allegedly killing her 9-year-old daughter Elianna and 7-year-old son Aden on December 19. Her ex-husband Kevin Wentz identified the bodies, while Singler went on the run for two weeks, sparking an international manhunt.

But that came to an end in a central London hotel ‘without incident’ when National Crime Agency officers arrested her on Saturday on behalf of the United States of America. She has no real ties to the UK, the court heard. Her case raises serious questions about how she managed to leave the US and enter the UK while wanted for murder.
