Two weeks ago, Josephine Smith brought home a puppy called Arthur, wearing a blue bow-tie collar, to join her two spaniels in the Yorkshire Dales.
Photographs show the nine-week-old rescue pup sandwiched between a much larger springer called Rowan and a cocker called Finn. Yet Arthur will soon outgrow them both because he is an American XL bully, a dog which is banned in England and Wales from Sunday under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
