Intel will have to get out of its own way. The $145 billion semiconductor giant is now unusual in both designing and building its own chips under one roof. But now that its manufacturing technology has fallen behind, it’s dragging down both sides of the business. Boss Pat Gelsinger has vowed to regain Intel’s edge.
