he mother of Phoebe Prince, who took her own life after relentless school bullying more than a decade ago, has said losing her daughter remains devastating.
Speaking to The Sunday Times, Anne O’Brien reminised about her little girl buying strawberries at the market in France or feeding the neighbours’ chickens; her love of the piano and singing Over the Rainbow, the song performed at her funeral; and talking to her about the novels they shared.
“I miss the milestones: the Leaving Cert, university, watching her younger sister Lauren surpass her in age. I have lost out on watching her become a young woman with all the joys and possibilities she would experience as she chose her path in life,” O’Brien said.
