Britons work more hours from home than almost every other nationality, according to an international survey.

Employees here spend an average of 1.5 days a week working remotely, compared with an international average of 0.9, the study found. Only Canadians spend less time in the office.

The research, which surveyed 42,400 full-time employees in 34 countries, found that those in France spent less than half as many hours at home as Britons, at only 0.6 days a week. Those in Italy are at home only 0.7 days a week while in Spain the number is 0.9. Britons also show up to the office significantly less than workers in east Asia.
