Not all older people have difficulties with technology

od Liddle seems to think that all older people are baffled by digital technology (“Shutting ticket offices signals the callous way our rulers shunt the elderly aside”, Comment, last week). I will be 73 before the month is out and I can’t remember the last time I paid cash for anything. I book my train tickets online and I shop with an app.

It’s not just me. Last year I went on a cruise and I was at the younger end of the group. You couldn’t move for older people emailing, Skyping or texting their grandchildren. Just because we are no longer young, it doesn’t mean our brains have turned to mush.
