adine Dorries is reportedly going to disguise the sources for her book on the fall of Boris Johnson by naming them after James Bond characters. That seems appropriate given that Boris thought Roger Moore was an instruction rather than an actor, though it is a shame she hasn’t called it Lie Another Day.
But who will she cast? The former leader of the Commons, a Boris ally, could become Moggy Galore; Matt Hancock would be double-o-zero; Andrew Mitchell, who liked to give the hero a kicking, would be a fine Rosa Pleb; while some suspect the mastermind behind the plot is Ernst Stavro Govefeld. Sadly I can’t think of anyone to play Goldfinger, a compulsive cheat obsessed with making money.
