Britney Spears’s tell-all memoir entitled The Woman in Me, about her rise to fame and experience living under a conservatorship, will be published in October.

The pop star announced the news on Instagram with a teaser video that revealed the forthcoming book’s cover featuring a black and white photograph of Spears. She said: “It’s coming, my story, on my terms, at last.”

She added: “I worked my ass off for this book, I had a lot of therapy to get this book done, so you guys better like it.”

The memoir will be published by Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, on October 24. The publisher engaged in a bidding war last year to secure the rights, which were reportedly worth $15
