Sir Keir Starmer has recruited a lobbyist nicknamed Labour’s Lynton Crosby who was banned from contacting Australian state ministers in an integrity inquiry.
David Nelson, who founded the lobbying firm Anacta, is advising the Labour Party in the run-up to the local elections and feeding into their general election strategy.
Last summer Nelson, along with other lobbyists, was banned from approaching the Queensland government until after the 2024 state election following an integrity review.
Nelson was a key figure in the Australian Labor strategy team in the run up to their general election win.
He was one of the team who orchestrated the election victory of Annastacia Palaszczuk, the Queensland premier, and had a senior back office role inthe campaign of Anthony Albanese, the prime
