For some real-life Stevenage Women, living in the Hertfordshire town, it is a done deal. “Labour is winning me over already by the fact that Conservatives aren’t acting on what people are saying,” said Jade Herbaut, a 30-year-old primary school teacher and mother of three. “I don’t warm to Starmer but I think he’s the best of a bad bunch at the moment. We need change and we won’t get it with the Conservatives.”
