Why?
The years have left their mark on Bermondsey, an urban patchwork that tells the story of the capital in miniature. There are ancient churches and old leather factories, the traces of post-war rebuilding, deindustrialisation, dereliction and gentrification. Regeneration has happened in earnest over the past decade or so and it keeps on coming.
