The family of a black man shot dead by police in North Carolina said he had been the victim of “a kill shot to the back of the head” as they appealed for police body-camera footage to be released in its entirety.
Andrew Brown Jr, 42, died from a bullet to the brain, according to a post-mortem examination commissioned by his family’s lawyers. He had apparently been trying to drive away from at least seven armed officers who opened fire while serving a warrant for drug offences.
