Fighting across several fronts in Yemen killed 504 people and wounded another 2,379 between 6 and 12 September, according to the World Health Organization.

The violence also displaced at least 77,789 people across Taiz, Marib, al-Jawf, Lahj, Hodeidah, Abyan and Shabwa by Friday, the WHO said.

Marib recorded the heaviest losses, with 469 casualties on 9 September, another 177 the following day and 219 on Friday.

The governorate accounted for 49 percent of all casualties, while Taiz and the western coastal areas recorded 43 percent.
