The new US LBM Coaches Poll is out, and as one would anticipate, there’s a change at the top.Texas claims the highest ranking after rallying to beat previously No.-1 Ohio State. The Longhorns were voted first by 42 of 74 panelists voting this week and head the poll for the first time since being dethroned by the Buckeyes last year. Ohio State slides to sixth in the rankings.Georgia stays put at No. 2 following a second easy victory. The Bulldogs received 15 first-place votes this week. Notre Dame climbs a notch to No. 3, receiving four top nods. Defending champion Indiana also gains a spot to No.4, retaining 10 firsts. Miami (Fla.) rounds out the top five with two No.-1 votes.The final first-place nod went to LSU, which gains a position on the eve of its much-anticipated showdown with No. 9 Mississippi. Texas A&M moves back up to No. 8, and Alabama cracks the top 10 for the first time this season.TOP 25: Complete US LBM Coaches Poll after Week 2In other poll developments of note, Brigham Young vaults to No. 14, a spot behind Texas Tech, the highest-ranked team from the Big 12. Oregon tumbles 12 places to No. 18 after its loss at Oklahoma State, and Oklahoma drops 11 positions to No. 21 after falling at Michigan, which rebounds to No. 19 in the poll.Washington hangs on at No. 24 but takes a five-position hit after narrowly outlasting Utah State. No new team breaks into the top 25, but there is a dropout. Florida, which was tied for 25th with Virginia last week, lost some ground to the Cavaliers as ballots were shuffled and now heads the group of teams in the ‘others receiving votes’ category.
