Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) was met with a storm of boos from Texas football fans on Saturday as he tried to plug his legislation on ESPN’s “College GameDay.”Cruz — who dropped by the college football show for a nearly 10-minute interview with Rece Davis — tried to navigate the less-than-warm welcome while attempting to sell the Protect College Sports Act, a bipartisan bill he co-authored set to limit transfers and put a “hard” cap on payments to athletes. As the senator continued to try and use the program to get the bill to the end zone, Longhorns fans joined in a brutal message to the senator.“Ted, you suck! Ted, you suck!” shouted the crowd as Cruz kept on talking. You can watch the wicked, on-air moment below in a clip from AwfulAnnouncing.com.ESPN had Ted Cruz on 'College GameDay' in a conversation with Rece Davis for nearly 10 minutes.
