Fani-Kayode said Fakunle was killed at his home in Johannesburg on September 4 after allegedly receiving a series of threats.
Former Nigerian Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has raised the alarm over the reported killings of Nigerians in South Africa, claiming that eight Nigerian nationals have been murdered in the country since the beginning of 2026.
Fani-Kayode said four of the eight Nigerians were allegedly killed by officers of the South African Police Service (SAPS), while accusing the South African authorities of failing to bring those responsible to justice.
He made the allegations in a statement posted on X while reacting to the reported killings of Bishop Michael Taiwo Fakunle and James Uchechukwu Nwankwo in Johannesburg.
