INDIA’S capital witnessed a historic convergence of global leadership as dignitaries from across the world arrived for the BRICS Summit 2026, set to take place on September 12–13.
The summit, themed “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability”, marks a significant moment for the expanding BRICS alliance.
The arrivals began in earnest as high-profile delegations touched down in New Delhi, with Russian President Vladimir Putin among the first to arrive. He was followed by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, signaling strong participation from the core BRICS members.
The summit has attracted an impressive roster of international leaders and ministers, reflecting the growing influence of the BRICS platform. Among the notable arrivals were Uganda’s Vice President Jessica Alupo, AIIB President Zou Jiayi, and Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.
