Soaring energy prices pushed global bond yields sharply higher on Thursday, weighing on stocks. WTI crude oil surged more than +6% on Thursday to a 3.5-month high amid fears that the US-Iran war will persist, increasing inflation risks and prompting the world's central banks to keep raising interest rates. The 10-year UK Gilt yield jumped to a 19-year high today of 5.38%, the 10-year German Bund yield surged to a 17-year high of 3.51%, and the 10-year T-note yield rose to a 2.75-year high of 4.96%.
