Serhii Stakhovsky, Ukraine’s former top-ranked tennis player, has been demobilized into the reserves from the “Alpha” Special Operations Center after more than four years of service.
He shared this in a statement to Ukrinform.
“Yesterday, September 10, the commander signed the order for my demobilization into the reserves,” he said.
Stakhovsky noted that he had officially served in various capacities with “Alpha” for the past 2.5 years, and unofficially, on a voluntary basis, since the start of the full-scale invasion.
The former tennis player decided to be demobilized for personal reasons.
