A mass-casualty response plan was activated, with 140 firefighters deployed to the scene.‌Marie-Valérie Albert, deputy public prosecutor at the Rouen Judicial Court, said in a press conference that one person, an 18-year-old woman, was in a critical condition. The victim was taken to Rouen University Hospital.‌She added that 43 people suffered injuries classified as "non-life-threatening".SNCF Reseau, which manages the French rail network, told the AFP news agency that services on the line had been suspended and power to the tracks cut to allow emergency services to work.‌Content cannot be displayed without consent"The priority is to care for the passengers and then to restore safe operating conditions," SNCF Reseau said.A 15-year-old boy travelling in carriage 34 told French newspaper Ouest-France: "All of a sudden, we felt strong vibrations.
