The fifth season of Ignis Scientia 2026, a student science and mathematics initiative organised by Competitive Edge Academy, was held at the M.G. Auditorium on the VIT Chennai campus. The event brought together more than 600 students of Classes IX to XII from schools in and around Chennai who had qualified for Stage 1 of the competition. The programme provided students with a platform to identify real-world problems and develop innovative solutions using science, mathematics, programming, and artificial intelligence. Bhavan’s Rajaji Vidyashram won the first prize, while Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School, Adyar, secured the second position. Mahindra World School and Shrinikethan Patashala, Mannivakkam, jointly won the third prize. Former Education Minister Ma Foi K. Pandiarajan was the chief guest, while VIT Chennai Director Dr. K.
