The Reserve Bank of India on September 11 announced the sale of Government of India securities (G-Sec) worth ₹1 lakh crore through open market operations (OMO) to manage liquidity conditions in the banking system.The sales will be conducted in three tranches: ₹50,000 crore on September 17, followed by ₹25,000 crore each on September 21 and September 28 through multi-security auctions.For the first auction on September 17, the RBI has offered six government securities maturing between 2029 and 2032, including 7.59 per cent GS 2029, 6.79 per cent GS 2029, 7.61 per cent GS 2030, 5.77 per cent GS 2030, 6.68 per cent GS 2031 and 8.28% GS 2032.Published on September 11, 2026
