“Every Living Thing,” a Canada-India-U.A.E. documentary feature about the global water crisis, is making its international market debut at the Toronto Film Festival market, with VIBE (Visually Innovative Bold Entertainment) joining as strategic partner to the production.
Directed by Uzair Merchant, the film is produced by BKreativ Prods. in Canada and Kleos Entertainment Group in India, with VIBE anchoring the U.A.E. side of the partnership. VIBE’s addition as strategic partner will support the film’s push into international markets, covering distribution, partnerships and audience development alongside the production work already underway.
The documentary looks at the human, environmental and economic toll of shrinking water resources, drawing on expert interviews and accounts from communities already living with water stress. Rather than treating the subject purely as an environmental story, the filmmakers tie it to livelihoods, food security, migration, development, weaponization, corporatization and the future of ecosystems and communities.
“Water does not recognize race, religion, borders or color,” Merchant said. “It is the one thing every human being depends on, no matter who we are or where we come from. This is not a story about one country, one culture or one community. It is a story about humanity.”
