Traffic diversions will be imposed on a need basis around Khairatabad from September 12-24 in view of the installation and expected rush of devotees visiting the Khairatabad Bada Ganesh.The diversions will be enforced from 11 a.m. until late in the night, depending on the number of visitors. Traffic police have advised commuters to avoid the Khairatabad, Shadan College, Ayodhya, Nirankari, Old PS Saifabad, Mint Compound, NTR Marg, Secretariat Junction, Necklace Rotary, KCP Junction and Masab Tank areas during peak hours.Traffic coming from VV Statue towards Mint Compound via Rajeev Gandhi Statue will be diverted at Rajeev Gandhi Statue towards Nirankari Junction. Vehicles from Old PS Saifabad towards Bada Ganesh through Rajdoot Lane will be diverted towards Iqbal Minar.Traffic from Iqbal Minar towards IMAX Theatre via Mint Compound will be diverted towards Secretariat X Road, while vehicles from Necklace Rotary towards Mint Compound will be diverted towards Secretariat Junction or the Khairatabad flyover.Traffic from Nirankari via Khairatabad Post Office lane towards Khairatabad Railway Gate will be diverted towards Old PS Saifabad Junction.Visitors approaching through Necklace Rotary and NTR Gardens have been advised to park at Race Road, NTR Ghat, HMDA parking beside IMAX Theatre or the open space opposite the IMAX Theatre. Those approaching through Khairatabad Junction can use Vishveshwaraiah Bhavan for parking.The restrictions will be imposed depending on the crowd.
