adsThe Dangote Petroleum Refinery in the Lekki Free Zone has moved beyond a symbol of industrial ambition.

Operating at 650,000 barrels per day (bpd) with plans to expand to 1.4 million bpd, it stands as the world’s largest single train refinery.

Built for a reported $20 billion, its upcoming Initial Public Offering (IPO) provides a direct opportunity to compare its operating scale and valuation against global downstream leaders like Valero Energy, Marathon Petroleum, Reliance Industries, Sinopec, and SK Innovation.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved Dangote Refinery’s IPO to raise approximately N2.15 trillion ($1.63 billion) by offering 4.1 billion ordinary shares at N525 per share.
