The Philippine Coast Guard revises the number of missing from 86 to 84 after authorities verified two people originally listed on the manifest had not been on board. The number of people rescued stood at 43.
A ferry fire in the Philippines on September 11 resulted in five deaths and over 80 missing, with 43 survivors rescued.
Firefighters faced challenges due to thick smoke and heat before boarding the ferry, which was carrying 117 passengers and 17 crew members.
