Jimmy Kimmel mocked President Donald Trump on Thursday for claiming he broke an attendance record when he spoke at the Republican midterm convention at the American Airlines Center in Dallas this week. Just one problem: The venue had plenty of empty seats visible on camera throughout the event, including during Trump’s speech.“He is so embarrassingly desperate to convince us that the place was packed,” Kimmel said. “He even tried to convince the people in the place that it was packed.” Kimmel rolled a clip of Trump telling the audience how full the arena was ― even though they could see for themselves that it wasn’t.“I’ve been speaking for an hour and 20 minutes. Nobody’s left. Nobody has left. It’s a great tribute to Trump,” the president said before turning his attention to someone standing up. “See that man up there? He’s leaving for the bathroom.”Trump said the media would take a photo of the man’s seat while he was in the bathroom to claim the audience had left.“So, please, if you don’t mind, don’t anybody go to the bathroom,” Trump pleaded. “It’s easy for you to say,” Kimmel fired back. “You’re the only one wearing a diaper.” See more in his Thursday night monologue: RelatedDonald TrumpJimmy Kimmel2026 elections
