TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Prince William offered a subtle nod to his brother, Prince Harry, during the launch of a new suicide prevention toolkit, On Your Side, in Liverpool. Following summer break, the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate, have returned to official duties, launching a new suicide prevention initiative focused on people involved in sport.As reported by Nine.com.au, William urged people to make the new toolkit "part of your game plan" in his speech. He also reflected on the Heads Up campaign, which he launched six years ago at Goodison Park through Heads Together, the mental health charity he founded with Kate and Prince Harry.William’s reference to Heads Together offered a subtle nod to Harry, whose work has also focused heavily on mental health. The Heads Up campaign was launched in partnership with Heads Together and the Football Association, of which William was president at the time.The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan, have kept a relatively low profile since returning to the UK, but Harry’s Invictus Games Foundation marked World Suicide Prevention Day on social media. The post remembered members of its community who had died and highlighted the role of sport, connection and the Invictus spirit in supporting those who are struggling.According to the report, Prince William and Kate visited Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool on Thursday, where William launched On Your Side, a suicide prevention toolkit designed to support people in sport. Their visit coincided with World Suicide Prevention Day, bringing together several prominent British sports figures, including Dame Kelly Holmes, Gabby Logan, Jill Scott, and cycling champions Sir Jason Kenny and Dame Laura Kenny.The couple also met Carol, the mother of former Welsh footballer and manager Gary Speed, who died by suicide in 2011 at the age of 42.
