The State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience has identified signs that the administration of the Boryspil Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) is affiliated with a foreign religious organization whose activities are banned in Ukraine.
The State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience (DESS) reported this, according to Ukrinform.
In particular, the inspection established that the administration of the Boryspil Diocese of the UOC is a structural unit of the UOC and is part of the Kyiv Metropolia of the UOC, which, under Ukrainian law, has been recognized as affiliated with a foreign religious organization whose activities are prohibited in Ukraine.
The study also confirmed that the charter of the Boryspil Diocese of the UOC and the documents governing its activities establish that it belongs to the structure of the Kyiv Metropolia of the UOC.
In addition, it was established that the charter of the Russian Orthodox Church provides for the head of the Boryspil Diocese of the UOC to be a member of the ROC’s governing statutory bodies.
