The anti-graft watchdog has arrested two officers attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Kipkelion Sub-County offices over allegations of soliciting a Sh500,000 bribe in order to terminate a murder case.
In a statement, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) said it mounted an operation that led to the arrest of the two suspects on Thursday.
EACC says the duo was apprehended while receiving Sh120,000 from the complainant.
The suspects were processed at the South Rift Regional Office and later released on a cash bail of Sh30,000, pending completion of investigations.
EACC then urged Kenyans to continue reporting bribery and other corrupt conduct through the Commission's official reporting channels.
