The bottom 12 are eliminated, leaving the teams who finished from ninth to 24th to contest a play-off round. Those eight matches will be contested over two legs — for the right to face a top-eight league phase opponent in the round of 16.Then we move through the knockouts with teams being eliminated until we have our winner. What happened in the league phase last year? Getty ImagesLast year's league phase saw plenty of thrills and spills. There were some notable results including Juventus 4-4 Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen 2-7 PSG, Bodo/Glimt 3-1 Manchester City and Benfica goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin scoring a 98th-minute goal against Real Madrid to send his side into the knockouts.Arsenal finished top of the pile with eight wins from eight, while PSG, Inter, Juventus, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid were among the sides who did not finish in the top eight and had to contest a play-off round.Fenerbahce, Roma line-ups Getty ImagesHere are the two XIs from Fenerbahce vs Roma.Fenerbahce XI: Ederson; Muldur, Skriniar, Ake, Brown; Elmaz, Kante, Yuksek; Greenwood, Muriqi, Akturkoglu.Roma XI: Svilar; Mancini, Ndicka, Hermoso; Rensch, Cristante, Kone, Wesley Franca; Soule, Malen, Dybala.PSV vs Shakhtar Donetsk line-upsAnd here are the team selections from PSV vs Shakhtar today.PSV XI: Kovar; Dest, Geertruida, Obispo, Kostic; Sano, Til; Perisic, Wanner, Van Bommel; Pepi.Shakhtar Donetsk XI: Riznyk; Vinicius Tobias, Bondar, Matviyenko, Pedro Henrique; Otcheretko, Marlon Gomes; Alisson Santana, Isaque, Mendoza; Kaua Elias.SKIP ADVERTISEMENTAdvertisementTeam news on the way soon Getty ImagesNot long to go now until we get team news for the two early kick-offs — Fenerbahce vs Roma and PSV vs Shakhtar Donetsk.Stay tuned!Join the conversation!
