A hundred days after becoming Karnataka Chief Minister, DK Shivakumar is trying to build his own political identity — balancing development, welfare and political alliances while facing unfinished promises, controversial projects and the 2028 elections.
DK Shivakumar, on Thursday, completed 100 days in office, marking a milestone that followed months of speculation over whether he would eventually take over from Siddaramaiah. However, he assumed the top post in June.
Marking the occasion, Shivakumar posted on X, “These hundred days have deepened my appreciation of the enormous responsibility we carry in building a better future for crores of Kannadigas.”
He acknowledged the contribution of former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, saying he had laid a strong foundation for social justice in Karnataka, a commitment he said he would carry forward.
“The five guarantees have brought meaningful support and security to families across the State. But governance cannot stop with what has been delivered. It must respond to what people need next,” he said.
