A day after the DMK leadership announced the candidature of K. Sethu Selvam for the Thattanchavady bypoll, the party on Thursday launched its campaign for the October 6 polls in Puducherry.Led by Member of Parliament and party’s coordinator for the Union Territory S. Jagathrakshakan, DMK candidate Mr. Selvam began his door-to-door campaign in residential areas of Pudupet in Lawspet.Mr. Jagathrakshakan in his brief interaction with reporters said the party has worked out a clear strategy for the byelection in Puducherry. Mr. Selvam, who was a former functionary of the Communist Party of India, had joined DMK on Wednesday after meeting former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and party president M. K. Stalin in Chennai.
