Cryptomining firm BTC Digital has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore the development of an AI data center in Hai Phong, Vietnam.
The Nasdaq-listed company announced that it signed the agreement with Nam Trang Cat Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (NTC) and SG Partners Co., Limited (SGP) on August 20.
The proposed facility would be located at the Nam Trang Cat Industrial Park, which spans approximately two million sqm (21.5 million sq ft).
According to NTC, the industrial park has a planned power load of around 300MW. However, BTC Digital has not disclosed the proposed capacity of the data center, and the MoU does not include a power supply agreement.
The three companies will initially assess the project’s feasibility, site conditions, power availability, network and cooling requirements, permitting needs, customer demand, and financing options.
