As millions of American Jews attend their synagogues in the coming weeks, they need to hear from their communal and religious leaders brave words of truth about what the Netanyahu government has done to IsraelThere's no doubt that in synagogues across the U.S., rabbis will speak during the High Holy Days this year about the rising threat of antisemitism. Indeed, people will be reminded of this reality simply by passing through security at the entrance. But if our sanctuaries only echo with messages of what others are doing to us, rather than what we are doing to ourselves, a critical and perhaps defining opportunity for change will be missed.
