Safe vaults to store gold rings, to be presented to the newborns under ‘Thaai Maman Thanga Mothiram’ scheme, have been set up at three government hospitals in Thanjavur district.Collector R. Revathi, in a press release, said strong rooms to house the vaults have been created at the Government Rajah Mirasdar Hospital, Thanjavur, the Government District Headquarters Hospital, Kumbakonam, and at the Government Taluk Hospital, Pattukottai.While the vault at the hospital in Thanjavur would consist six units, the one at Kumbakonam would have three units and the taluk hospital would have two units to store the gold rings, the release added.
