And every day it receives a just response,” Zelensky said.Shahed supply route hit on the CaspianUkrainian drone manufacturer Fire Point said its FP-1 long-range drones attacked the Makhachkala port, which Russia allegedly used to receive Iranian-made Shahed attack drones transported across the Caspian Sea.A strike and subsequent fire were recorded within the port, RBC-Ukraine reported, adding that the full extent of the damage was still being assessed.The Makhachkala facility is Russia’s only ice-free deep-water port on the Caspian Sea. It operates throughout the year and connects Russia with other countries in the region, including Iran.Shahed drones delivered through the port were reportedly transported onward to deployment areas before being launched against Ukraine.During the first eight months of 2026, the port handled more than 2.9 million metric tons (3.2 million tons) of cargo, including over 2.08 million tons of oil.
