EastEnders killed off Zoe Slater on Thursday, with actress Michelle Ryan leaving the BBC soap, and now a new spoiler has hinted there's more to her tragic death11:35, 10 Sep 2026Updated 11:36, 10 Sep 2026Spoilers for what comes next on EastEnders, after Zoe Slater died, could suggest there's more to her death. While it seems she died as a result of a fall, leading to a head injury she did not get checked out, spoilers tease a shocking discovery. Earlier this week we saw Zoe fall and hit her head on some bricks. While she was in pain and was bleeding, she refused to go to the hospital. As things got worse and Zoe deteriorated, she ended up collapsing on her bed and passing away.It does seem, sadly, an open and shut case in that she suffered a head injury, it was worse than she thought, and as a result of no medical care, she died. So why do spoilers tease there's more to it?One spoiler confirms that the police tell Kat Moon, Zoe's mother, Zoe's postmortem results. It seems these results shock Kat, who is left needing answers. Then, Kat is urged to speak to detective Jack Branning about the case - so why do they want to get the police involved? Then the next spoiler reads that as Sharon Watts advises Kat, a discovery is made that is "shocking".It actually says "evidence", so what is this new evidence that is found and what does it mean? Why is it so shocking, and could it tease there's more to Zoe's death? Now there is every chance it's just a case of characters finding out Zoe's final moments, and possibly the fact that she had a showdown with Max Branning moments before she lost her life. Kat did know about Zoe's fall and that she hit her head, so it's not clear why her postmortem would be all that shocking. So is there more to be revealed, and do the spoilers suggest something else happened? Or are they just being very cryptic, and it's simply that the characters do not know what we as viewers know? It's this fact that Kat knows about Zoe's head injury, just clearly not knowing how bad it was. So if the postmortem results come back stating the head injury caused her death, why would she be so surprised and needing answers? We did see Kat asking Zoe if the person she'd stolen a cab from was behind her head injury. Zoe denied this though and explained about her fall, as she ran away from the can seller, so what does Kat discover next week?EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. * Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on TikTok , Snapchat , Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , YouTube and Threads .
