(photo credit: Alex Kolomoisky, KKL-JNF)ByTZVI JASPERSEPTEMBER 10, 2026 13:09The US embassy and the Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund came together on Thursday in order to mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terror attack.The event took place at Jerusalem's 9/11 Living Memorial, the only memorial site outside of the United States to bear the names of all the victims of the attack, as well as the only one outside the US to incorporate a fragment of the Twin Towers.Attending the memorial ceremony were US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee; Chairman of KKL-JNF Eyal Ostrinsky; CEO of Jewish National Fund-USA Russell F. Robinson; JNF-USA’s Chief Israel Officer Tali Tzour Avner; KKL-JNF CFO & Acting Head of Resource Development & External Affairs Division, CDO Yuval Yenni; Emmy Award-winning American actress Patricia Heaton; Commissioner of the Israel Fire and Rescue Authority Eyal Caspi; Commander of the Southern District Fire Department Itzik Oz; and US Army Attaché Major Jeffrey Johnson.Also in attendance were Suri and Harvey (Henoch) Morgenstern, who lost their daughter, Nancy, in the September 11 attacks.Nova survivors perform at 9/11 ceremonyThe Art of Nova group also performed at the ceremony, with the group consisting of Tali Binar and Guy Ben-Shimon, both survivors of the Nova music festival massacre on October 7, as well as Ofri Nahum, who lost her sister, Nitzan, in the attack.KKL-JNF Chairman Eyal Ostrinsky, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, and CEO of Jewish National Fund-USA Russell F.
