Kelly Osbourne has addressed her mum Sharon’s controversial views, including her support of far-right figure Tommy Robinson. The reality TV star was questioned about Sharon’s political stance on the red carpet at the National Television Awards in London. In April, Sharon was met with a backlash after sharing her approval for a “Unite the Kingdom” rally organised by Robinson.“I don’t agree. I don’t agree with my mum, no,” Osbourne, 41, told Attitude Magazine. “That’s one thing that I can say that I don’t agree with her on. “It’s hard, ‘cos I love my mum, but I also have to understand she’s entitled to her own opinions as well. And it’s really hard when it comes to politics and things like that, but that’s not for me.”Asked whether she’d spoken with Sharon about her views on LGBTQ+ rights, Kelly said she always believed her mum shared her stance. In a 2022 interview with the Times, Sharon was asked about what being a woman means to her, prompting her to say “it comes from within” and “it’s not for us to decide what is a woman and what isn’t”.However, she also said she believed it was unfair for trans women to compete against cis women in sports, and implied that children identifying as trans or nonbinary was a fad: “It’s, like, hey, it’s not an accessory. And to be born into a body that doesn’t belong to you, I couldn’t imagine anything worse.”Kelly said when she sits down with her mum to discuss these subjects, Sharon responded positively: “She gets it.
