MANILA, Philippines – Dr. Kurt Allen Sibayan, the admitting physician of former speaker Martin Romualdez, said on Thursday, September 10, that he did not see nor examine the lawmaker because he was barred by the attending physicians from entering the room.
He also said that Romualdez’s case was not an emergency.
The prosecution also noted that there’s nothing in Romualdez’s medical abstract that indicates his health condition requires confinement. The former speaker is currently facing a plunder case over P7.44-billion in alleged kickbacks.
