Lagos, Nigeria – The Covenant University Alumni Association (CUALA) has called for greater investment in continuous learning, adaptability and skills development as artificial intelligence, technology and innovation continue to reshape the workplace.
This call formed a central theme at the CUALA Career Fair 2026, held on Saturday, September 5, in Ikeja, Lagos, where 500+ alumni, professionals and top employers gathered to explore career opportunities, recruitment, professional development and the changing demands of the world of work.
Themed “Shaping the Future of Work,” the Career Fair brought together talent and industry around a question increasingly confronting professionals and organisations alike: what does it take to remain relevant as the workplace evolves?
Delivering the keynote address, Bode Roberts, CEO of Dataleum, challenged participants to rethink their approach to career growth. Roberts said professionals must develop the ability to identify problems, build relevant skills and communicate the value they bring to organisations. He also introduced his B.U.I.L.D. framework, providing participants with a practical approach to navigating career development in an increasingly technology-driven economy.
