Five people were injured in a massive overnight Russian drone attack on Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, local authorities reported Thursday, Sept. 10. Two of the wounded were hospitalized, according to Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Governor Oleksandr Hanzha. Russian drones strike five locations Russian attack drones struck five locations in Kryvyi Rih’s Central City and Saksahanskyi districts overnight, according to city defense council chief Oleksandr Vilkul. Earlier reports said fires broke out at two locations as emergency crews worked to contain the damage. The attack damaged apartment buildings and private homes, as well as educational, cultural and business facilities. Residents had been urged to remain in shelters as the large-scale drone attack continued during the night. Kryvyi Rih repeatedly targeted Kryvyi Rih, Zelensky’s hometown and a major industrial center in central Ukraine, has repeatedly been targeted by Russian missiles and drones throughout the full-scale invasion. The latest attack again struck residential areas far from the front line, leaving civilians wounded and homes damaged as Russia continues its aerial campaign against Ukrainian cities.
