The new coach has barely unpacked his bags and already finds himself operating in the shadow of one of the most contentious SAFA elections in years.
Danny Jordaan and Sandile Zungu will go head-to-head for the SAFA presidency on Saturday, with Zungu’s campaign increasingly turning the election into a battle over governance, accountability and the direction of South African football.
Mosimane cannot control any of that. He can, however, control where Bafana’s attention goes. And it has to be on football.
