Cape Town residents looking for a budget-friendly way to enjoy the great outdoors can make the most of SA National Parks Week, with free day access to several national parks from September 7 to 13.

Cape Town residents looking for an affordable outdoor adventure this September have a week-long opportunity to explore some of the Western Cape’s most spectacular natural spaces without paying a day-entry fee.

The 21st annual SA National Parks Week runs from September 7 to 13, with South African citizens and residents able to enjoy free day access at participating parks.

For Cape Town and Western Cape residents, the options include Table Mountain National Park, excluding the Boulders Penguin Colony section, as well as Agulhas National Park, Bontebok National Park, Tankwa Karoo National Park and parts of the Garden Route National Park.

That means there is plenty of scope for everything from a quick nature escape to a full-day road trip.
