It was very British of us to expect the UK version of the long-running American sketch show to flop – and thank goodness we were wrong. Big Boys actor Freddie Meredith joins the Saturday Night Live UK cast for a hotly anticipated second series – I wonder if he’s been drafted in to play Andy Burnham, who was not PM but simply the mayor of Manchester last time SNL UK was on.
