Osun State Police Command on Wednesday said it had arrested one Taye Kasali, of Bose Osi, Osun State, in connection with the alleged murder of his mother, Kudirat Kasali.
After allegedly perpetrating the act, Kasali reportedly buried the remains of the deceased in a shallow grave within the family farm.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer for the command, Abiodun Ojelabi, a copy of which was made available to The PUNCH.
Stating the facts of the incident, Ojelabi said, “On 1st September 2026 at about 7:30pm, there was a report at Bode-Osi Division that one Mrs Kudirat Kasali and her son, Taye Kasali, were missing.
“Following the report, Police operatives commenced investigation and, through intelligence-led investigation, the suspect, one Taye Kasali ‘m’ (son), was arrested on 7th September 2026 in connection with the crime.
