The Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries has said Saudi Arabia, Russia and five other major oil producers will maintain their September 2026 required production levels for October.
The decision was taken by the seven OPEC+ countries that had previously announced additional voluntary production adjustments in April and November 2023.
The countries—Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria and Oman—met virtually recently to review developments in the global oil market and its outlook.
In a statement issued after the meeting, OPEC said the seven participating countries decided to maintain their September 2026 required production for October 2026.
The combined production level of the seven countries is about 31.01 million barrels per day, according to the figures released by the oil producers’ group.
